This style of piece is deceptively tedious to make- I start with an impression die that was made from a master hub originally carved in (I believe) the early 1900s. A company called PotterUSA in Arizona recuses all of these old artisan dies from shuttering factories to keep the artists' work alive. To create this little protesting woman, I have to use my 10-ton hydraulic press to repeatedly anneal/soften, and then use the hydraulic force to shape the silver into the impression die. I customized her little sign to say "resist" and soldered her onto a backplate with "Don't let the bastards grind you down" and a little fiery goddess below. It's paired with an amethyst stone, where the two combined shapes also reflect that of the goddess symbol.
