I'm hesitant to put this up because I feel behind on having time for listings, and this lightning bolt is so unbeliveably gorgeous and deserves more of a spotlight. It's the only man-made stone in the release tonight- but bolts like these are near-impossible to track down and the "aurora opal" is just stunning. It shifts color with such shimmery range of coloring- it's really incredible.
It was also, I'm just going to say it, a massive bitch to set! Those points, and the slopes- I had vastly underestimated the effort involved in setting this. And I'm running out of time here so these photos really don't do it justice- but if this doesn't sell immediately I'm going to take the better video and photos it deserves.
The aurora opal is framed with a hand-shaped/filed/manipulated (seriously this took magician skills) .999 fine silver bezel, and the rest including the chain is all .925 sterling silver.
The necklace included the oxidized/darkened 18" sterling silver chain, and includes an anti-tarnish pouch and a Sunshine brand polishing cloth to keep it bright and beautiful.
